What the implemented Threads deletion flow removes
A verified Threads data-deletion request removes the matching connected Threads provider account from MINT, including:
- the encrypted publishing credential and saved
threads_basic/threads_content_publishpermission grants; - the provider-account connection and its local profile metadata;
- provider-account-owned drafts, variants, DryRuns, ActionRequests, approvals, schedules, executions, attempts, and publication references, according to the implemented ownership/cascade rules.
It does not delete unrelated MINT users or workspaces and does not request a Threads post-delete permission. Published posts remain controlled by Threads.
Threads-initiated deletion callback
Threads sends a signed request to MINT's data-deletion callback. MINT verifies the signature and exact provider identity before an idempotent account-scoped purge. A deterministic confirmation code and bounded status URL are returned to Threads. Verified duplicate callbacks return the same completed outcome; invalid, unsigned, or unresolvable requests fail closed.
Instagram review-only media deletion
Instagram remains review-only and default OFF. Its implemented account-scoped deletion path removes the matching encrypted credential, grants, workflow records, delivery leases, and immutable staged JPEG associations. R2 image removal is retried through a bounded deletion-pending queue; a deletion request stays pending until the targeted object cleanup succeeds. This does not claim that a live Instagram connection or pilot has been verified.
Disconnect and deauthorization are different
- MINT-local disconnect: removes the local proof/snapshot, encrypted credential, and saved grants. It does not call Threads to revoke Website permissions.
- Threads deauthorization: verified signed Threads deauthorization through the provider callback destroys the matching MINT credential/grants and makes scheduled work ineligible.
- Remove Website permission: use the Threads account's Website permissions settings when you also want to remove the provider-side authorization.
Requesting broader MINT account data deletion
MINT does not currently expose a self-service whole-user or whole-workspace deletion button. To request deletion beyond one Threads provider account, contact support from the email address associated with the MINT account. The operator will verify the requester and scope before processing. Do not send passwords, OTPs, tokens, cookies, or authorization codes.
Retention
Minimal redacted audit or legal records may be retained for fraud prevention, security, and legal obligations, then deleted under the applicable retention policy. They do not contain access tokens or post bodies.
